4 Marketing Tips for the Long Weekend

Your Customers Are On Holiday. Your Marketing Strategy Shouldn’t Be.

Can you believe it? The 4th of July is just around the corner, and this is one of the most delicious times of the year for marketers nationwide! Americans are excited, relaxed, and in one of the best moods they've been in for months – making it the perfect time to inspire them with explosive offers that make them even more proud to be American. So if you’re looking for new ways to promote your product this 4th of July, here are 4 marketing tips for the long weekend.

1. Think Visual:

What comes to mind when you think about the 4th of July? Is it a bright mental picture of red, white, and blue? Fireworks? BBQs? The best brands find a way to make their offerings relevant to the spirit behind the 4th of July, whether it’s sharing a red-white-and-blue jello shot recipe or recommending the perfect hangover cure. Get kreative!

2. Be Genuine:

Sometimes, simpler is better. Remember that every company is about to go out of their way to sell their products this 4th of July. Perhaps a tweet as simple as “Happy 4th of July!” will be enough to get and stay top of mind for your audience’s minds. They’ll appreciate your humanity and humility, and they’ll be more likely to choose you when they need you.

3. Host A Photo Contest:

Everyone loves to win. Drive engagement by running a social media photo competition on Facebook, Instagram, and the rest of your socials. Announce that the winners will be revealed on the 4th of July, and let them know what’s up for grabs.

4. Extended Sales:

Let your audience know that your summer sales aren’t reserved for the 4th of July only. Separate your 4th of July marketing campaign from the competition by emphasizing how much better you are – and how much longer your sales are.
